Welcome to a new beginning for a new year. *I know … a little late in the game here*. It has been awhile since I have posted, and this is the first post of year for me! The holidays took me out, my foot has Plantar Fasciitis so I can’t run around DIY-ing, my blog here went hay-wire when I changed the theme to something I think I can handle *the worst*, so I took up some crafting and now the blood pressure is back to normal. *Go figure* – *working at the thought that getting old takes work*
If you have noticed *maybe not* the Recipe section is now pfffttt… gone. I guess I blew that myself. The theme was discontinued and didn’t have any future updates to WP so I changed the theme because of that. Plugins matter they say. So that is a little project for another day. I figure I will get around to that and just update with no help except for the keybroad ~ I mean keyboard *laugh a little*.
In the meantime, another book has begun. A “Junk Journal” mix media book. It has three signatures and room to add bits and bobs. So here is a little advance look-see.

I have collected a whole bunch of leaves, flowers, twigs and such, pressed them and put them away for just this sort of thing. So, needless to say, a garden leaf twig is multi-layered on the front within a frame. This is just the beginning so bear with me here. Since I am not done, posted here is just the cover and a *thought* for the first page. I change things as I go so I never know how it will end up and it may look completely different when I post a page by page when done.

Being a passionate photographer, adding in a photo or two is a no-brainer for the books. That little vase is one of my faves for little roses and shot with the Polaroid.

Finally, I cannot do this kind of thing without watching or *listening* to my favorite movies. Little Women is one of my favorites and I can watch any one ever made and be very content watching it over and over. Old movies are my thing and I just love them when I am crafting or just settling in for the evening — or any time for that matter.
Hope you enjoyed the peek into the next chapter of journals.
Enjoy the day!
