Mrs Shecky has missed the blog this week. She's been sheckin' out with the holiday decorating. Thinking she would only put minimal deco up, she failed in that thought. After a few years swearing she would not do it "next year"... She does. Ughgh... Working on it. Trying to get the holiday on in record time with decades of decorations. One day. Let's do this... Yeah right. We had a visitor at Sheckyville. Murray didn't seem to mind as he sat waiting for me. Rave seemed to take his time doing his thing on the top of the car. His feathers are looking much better too. I just love those two. For some reason today I felt the need to cut and make merry. I know it's still early and I'm one for waiting, but I went to the store yesterday and everything was Christmas. So instead of buying all the tinsel up, I went out to the garden and cut some Hawthorn 🍒 berries. In the vases they went. I'm liking the red right now and it's not even Thanksgiving yet. Crazy eh?! Friday is pull up a seat time on Mrs Shecky's blog. That's where I post a place to sit just to pull up a seat when I feel like it. So today's discovey was that there's more work to do with covers. Pulling up a seat was hard in this spot with acorns all over it. Putting it on hold to fix 'later' I guess was not very good thinking. *Procrastination* I should cover it again but I''m going to wait until Spring. Mrs. Shecky is sheckin' it in the kitchen this morning. Granola with bourbon soaked raisins and some roasted butternut squash soup comin' right up! Crustless pumpkin pie. Yes! Mr. Murray had his birthday yesterday and I made him a cake. He loved it... And so did I. Yes! Humans can eat it to! Check out the recipe. Link in bio.
