As bad as it looks it’s still sitable. It’s just another on the long list of to dos.
Just brushing it off before seating will do just fine.

Mrs. Shecky I have to tell you that I just found an old church pew at a thrift store and I thought of you and “pull up a seat” and we bought it for $20! It’s just needs a wee bit of reupholstering… I’ll post before & after photos when we get around to it.
