~The Owl~
It’s not just us humans that need to pull up a seat, and that sets true with this fine feathered friend. I heard the crows cawing like crazy this morning so I took a little walk to the oak down below to check it out. There they were bullying this guy. I’m not sure why they were being aggressive towards it but he/she just sat there not at all worried. The crows eventually flew away *I think they saw it’s claws*.

These were taken with Cellzilla so they aren’t great pictures but this is the reason I say to always carry that little cell phone. It works for those off beat moments along with a big heavy stick.

If it wasn’t for the crows it would not have been easy to see which is a good reminder to always look up in Sheckyville because there are many seating areas above, all of which Humans don’t use. He not only was hard to see, he was twice the size of Mr. Murray.

Other than seeing some bulbs actually coming up for Spring, this guy really set my day off in a good way.
Til next time,

what a great surprise and great shots considering!
He was something else! He knew he was above all 😊
Gorgeous owl. Around here you sometimes see the crows heckling bald eagles.
I found it strange that the owl allowed them to do that and the eagles allow it too.
Zoweemama! That is one beautiful great horned owl! They usually do not attack household pets if there is adequate wildlife around, but they have been known to even attack bigger dogs if they irritated the owl. Smaller pups or cats can easily get carried away, quite literally!
That is good news. There are a lot of little critters here so I am assuming that is why he is and others gather. Those critters are the ones I like gone so he can feast 🙂
The expression on this owls face is fantastic. He is not to be taken lightly or easily intimidated.
You are right. He is having his/her way 😉
So cool! I love owls. Looks like a great horned; and a darned good shot for a phone. Brava! Thank you crows!
Indeed, crows are everywhere here and pretty big too. He was very cool to get up close and play looky loo 🙂
