This fall I am having a truck load of top soil delivered to build a raised bed garden. (Our topsoil is basically the sod that the builder put down on Kentucky’s clay after the developer had scraped all the old farm soil away!)
Pray for my brown thumb that I can actually grow some green beans, brocoli, napa, bok choy, carrots and some other veggies.
But NOT potatoes!! I had them in my first garden many years ago and hilling them was a major job to keep them covered. Then I saw them at the store for $0.75 for 5 lb bags!! Never again. 😉
