This year at Sheckyville we have not put a stitch of holiday decor up. The days ran away from us since Mr. Murray left us and so we just went with the flow and followed our gut to enjoy the season from the views instead of indulging the decorating. It is working. We have fancied a few parties and gatherings and even sang carols and loved it! As such, our holiday-no-decor guilt has not appeared to us Sheckys. All which proves up that the season is perfect any way one chooses to enjoy.

My favorite moments arrive in reading old books by the fireplace, and that is just about anytime of the year. There’s no place like it in my opinion. Winter has arrived finally and with the addition of fire in the fireplace it cannot be more perfect and I do wish the cold was colder here to read my oldies. I know many are suffering from weather related problems, but here in So. California I wish the cold more. *being selfish I guess*
My memo to myself and all: Be happy with what you have and what comes to you. That is the richness of the season and as such, life.
So with that, I’m wishing you all a very happy holiday season and a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!
