Mrs. Shecky here. Since Mr. Murray left, I have gazed at the top of the stairs where the craft room was. I worked hard to get it up there but Mr. Murray was getting old so as soon as the craft room went in, most came down stairs because carrying his little self was getting too hard to do while holding on to the railing. So, for the sake of going up and down and falling, back down it came.

Now that Mr. Murray has crossed the Rainbow Bridge… the room went back up last week and I am back at crafting one of my favorite things… making journal books and junk journaling, not caring about the mess, and hiding out for the day.
Here is a little hand held journal for sharing that I am working on with lots of nooks and cranny’s for notes and such. For those that have not heard of Junk Journals they are simply handmade books to journal/write in made from this and that’s. They are basically made from hand dyed papers, antique papers and ephemera with tags, tucks and places to put notes and tidbits. I have always kept a journal for writing and this nifty craft is right up my aisle.

In the past I used to handcraft cards and sell them years ago under the name The Card Shtooper. When we moved I packed everything up. After Murray left, I sought out the storage unit and unpacked it all including cards made. It seems I have enough stuff to craft junk journals for two lifetimes. *hoarder*
I already have a couple larger journals on the way which I hope to add to my Etsy shop. This is the beginning of one with some signatures ready to go. I just have to decide how this textile cover should lay out.

I am quickly getting used to this space and will have fun posting more. I know we use our blogs to journal in, it is our process to write and share. Any junkers out there?
Til next time.
