~The Weather Guides~

Well, it’s been awhile. Word Press put me through a whirlwind but I was able to do a backup but did lose a couple of posts. Who knew! It seems the recipes are still here but I have to rethink the way they are posted. I may have to change the whole darn thing and that is another whirlwind to ponder.

In the meantime, the weather has been nutzzz in Sheckyville with the cold, and I do love the cold, but the Shecky Shack needed tending and it was time to get out there and do some clean up so the weather guided me there. It is so nice this time of year in the desert and knowing that the heat is coming now it’s the time to enjoy the outdoors. Here is a view from the Shecky Shack.

Snow on the mountains is beautiful but it has caused havoc for us not having it that often.

The snow hit hard on the mountains. Its still difficult for those living in the range areas. Being stranded with hazards is a horrible thought. Tonight is another rain/snow episode. We just are not used to this and people are now suffering being trapped in their homes.

The skies are blue farther into the desert, After all the work done on this place it was nice to take the table cover off and just sit and sink it all in. The yard is quite different than Sheckyville. Its easy and much much smaller, but sitting here still has my mind on some color and landscape work. That may be a bit hard considering the heat will be here next month. We are now in what is called “the season” which is when people come out to play in doable weather.

A Mrs. Shecky Tip: That table? Consignment bought. I told my husband never again pay for a moving van. Never. It is much cheaper to buy at consignment stores than it is to pay for moving, storage and delivery.

It does get chilly here in particular at night right now. That called for soup and a sandwich on the panini maker. The panini maker is a gem, I use it for a lot of things. This time it called my name for a cheese sandwich.

Menu: Soup – veggies, broth, and seasoning. Simple cheese sandwich grilled on a panini. Yum.

I’m into a new lens, RF800mm, so the photos are up, close, and wild. All from the seat of my chair. The yard does have its perks. It is full of birds and doves singing in the morning. They are a soothing sound to hear, and seem to follow me because there are a few at Sheckyville too.

I also opened a shop on Etsy a while back. Boy, I never knew printables were so hard to sell but I really love creating them. I might have to find another way to do that and I have so many postcards to scan and share. I have one problem… I love to read them so that really slows me down. I figure someone wrote them so why not pass the read around. Most of all, I like to design them. Whew, that’s another hermit life but as long as I enjoy it *at home* works for me. I use to have a small business called *The Card Shtooper*. I made cards and sold them. Also jewlery. I am considering adding all that somehow to the craft process.

Anyway, that’s a small bit of happenings. Spring is coming and the garden planting and work will be starting. There’s a lot of cleaning in Sheckyville to do before the heat arrives full bore here. So on we go…

Hope everyone is well and there is smooth sailing into Spring for you all.
