~The Sycamore Bench~

Mrs. Shecky escaped yesterday. The husb came home so the chains were released from me with Mr. Murray and he became the caretaker instead of me for a few hours.
On my escape I went for a wonderful walk in my friend’s neighborhood. She led me to this tree and it was just beautiful with all its huge branches and age.
I will have to go back with my good camera in hand because I could not get the tree in the full frame of Cellzilla. It was so huge it was impossible, but I thought it was perfection for Pull Up A Seat this week.
Having a bit of history to sit under and ponder on who had been around and under it in past few hundred of years was quite the event for me while sitting on that bench. My mind wanders in history of that sort, and is why I love my oaks so much. So I hope you enjoy this little discovery as I did.
Enjoy,
Mrs. Shecky
It looks like the tree is reaching out to the bench. Just think of all it must have seen in its lifetime!
That tree would have so many stories to tell. And would be lovely to sit on that bench too!
I love that someone cared enough to help the tree out with that footstool propped under the low-hanging branch 🙂
Yes! I wonder how long that will last but I am glad it was still alive with the help of that.
What a fantastic tree!! Yes, so go back and grab some more shots to share! 🙂
I will post 🙂 !
Look forward to it!! 😉
Amazing tree! 😎
It sure is. On the West Coast here we are very lucky to have the Redwoods and Sequoias. This Sycamore was a new discovery for me.
